For all out there who are not aware, Radiohead is allowing folks to do remixes of their song "nude" (see radioheadremix.com).

I'm both hoping folks will enjoy my version of the track (a very dreamy, spooky track that builds to an explosive end), which you can listen to here:

http://www.radioheadremix.com/remix/?id=2073

or here, if the html works:

(I uploaded it with only a week to go, so I'm a latecomer - voting ends MAY 1st!!! - and am hoping you'll vote and share with your friends so they might vote!)

AND

I'm also hoping to listen to remixes of other folks. So if you have one, message me with where I can listen to it. Specifically I'm curious what other Portland/Oregon/Washington folks have made, but ultimately I'd like to hear from everyone wherever they might live.

Most of all, I hope everyone just keeps music alive (both in listening and in creation) as a language, as a means of communicationg, as something beautiful for the soul.

Hello,

My name is Austin, I'm an Independent filmmaker from Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. I'm 19 and I'm not a website designer but I do maintain 2 websites that were pre-made for me.

Why am I here?

Well... I am very desprately searching livejournal for someone who is good with layouts for websites.
I'm looking for someone to make me a very simple, easy to run (I'm a little retarded.) website design or layout for my newly started production company, Name That Province Productions.

*What do you get out of this deal*

- Linkage and promotion. (I can't afford to pay you anything, because let's face it... independent companies make no money. lol but I will however link you to everything I'm doing, thank you and post linkage in all my films from now until forever and direct anyone looking to pay for a web design your way.)

- A VHS copy of the 4 films we have produced this year. (and I will send you a copy of every film after that if you're interested.)

- A "Punk Fuck Records" Demo Disc (Name That Province funds Punk Fuck Records, an independent recording company, which not only churns out great punk rock but also has an accoustic album under their belt)

- Full creative control within our "theme" (You can pretty much run wild as long as you stick with the general idea of Name That Province Productions. )

- My undying gratitude! (and that's forever man.)

contact me through this post, my personal livejournal or through MSN messenger or e-mail at outofthedark@gmail.com

*x-posted and if this kind of post is not allowed here please let me know and I will get rid of it. *

I'm making a community and I need to host a few files. I have about 6 .zip files and about 5 .avi or .wmv files that I need uploaded to a server so people can download them from the community.

So, my question is, where can I find a file uploading site thats free or at least semi-cheap and can offer either permanent or long-term links to the files. I could use MegaUpload or YouSendIt but those aren't very dependable and they'll be expiring every time I turn around. I also want it easy for people to download the files...just click on it, save it, and download it.

I have a Yahoo Webhosting account, but I can only upload files up to 5MB and the largest file I have is about 80MB, so obviously that's not going to work out, and obviously no one is willing to let me upload the files to their site, so I need to do it myself.

Thanks to anyone who can help me! I'm desperate!

Ok, please don't laugh, but I have had this dream of starting my own Web Design business. I don't have much actual experience, but I have taken a TON of classes on HTML, CSS, and Web Design. I feel I am ready to start, but I don't know how or where. I have my own domain, etc, but I don't know what to do with it.
Is there anyone who can tell me / show me what I need to do from here?

Thanks SO much!

Robin
